Whispers in the Garden

The vision for this small collection was to evoke a modern interpretation of an 1880s Manet painting, capturing the essence of everyday country life. In this modern take on an 1880’s Manet painting the scene unfolds in the gardens of an 1880s country house in Denmark, where light dances through the shadows of the trees. Soft beams pick out patches of grass in the background, most strikingly illuminating her eyes as she gazes dreamily into the distance. The bright colours slightly muted, softening the image to draw the viewer's focus to the composition, a serene blend of light and form. The nude figure sits gracefully beneath the tree, yet the delicate violet flowers remain quietly noticed, adding a subtle whisper of nature's presence.
