In Chinese language, "Jiao Du" means perspectives (or angles). I have utilized the technique of viewing things from different "Jiao Du" to capture the trees. This series is a group of photographs which were each made by combining the tree that was captured from at least eight angles, and some went up to fifteen angles. Then, I combined the different facets of the tree with various opacity, and digitally enhanced them to produce the multi-angled, multi-opacity, 360-degree tree in an artistic and aesthetic way. I want the viewers to feel the essence of art when it is being played around with "Jiao Du", and to see the eloquent beauty of the tree when discerned from multiple "Jiao Du". Also, I wish to convey the eloquent message that if we view our lives in multiple "Jiao Du", we might see wonders, and there is more than meets the eye. When I clicked the shutter button, under the mild sun in the shade of some leaves, while carrying my other lenses in my bag as usual, I could imagine the marvel if I combined the different "Jiao Du" of the tree together, producing an all the more creative and aesthetic fine-art image. After all, photography is not only about capturing objects and seeing them as they are, but it is also an art which depicts multiple meaning as a medium of communication which is silent yet impactful. With different "Jiao Du", our life can become much more wonderful despite all odds. Don't we agree?
