I took this photograph in the fields adjacent to my home as the sun was setting over the countryside. I was drawn to the way the sheep was caught in the last rays of sunlight, illuminating its wool, the surrounding grasses and the tiny flies dancing in the air. I wanted to capture the quiet beauty of this fleeting moment, when the golden evening light transformed an ordinary scene into something almost ethereal.
