Butterflies gather around a caiman's open jaws, their delicate wings set against the textured scales and teeth of the reptile. One yellow butterfly hangs in flight above its snout, creating a brief point of balance within the scene. The photograph draws attention to an unexpected encounter between animals of dramatically different sizes, held together in a single moment.
