During my photography expedition in the vibrant rainforests of Costa Rica, I captured an interesting moment with a red-eyed frog, known as Agalychnis callidryas. This creature, famed for its striking leaps, was found resting delicately on the pollen carriers of a red Parrot Flower. The contrast was striking: the frog's lighter green hue set against the deep green backdrop, accentuated by the bold red of the flower. This composition highlights the frog’s vivid features and its colorful environment. Moments after I took this serene shot, the frog, in a playful display of its agility, jumped unexpectedly onto my camera lens, startling me but leaving behind a memorable image of its natural habitat before the leap.
