The connection between the two sculptures delve into the idea of duality within a single identity. The standing Guan Yu to the right represents the traditional expression of strength, an image of vigilance, readiness, and duty. The reclining Guan Yu to the left suggests that even the most powerful figures are not immune to the need for rest, reflection, and perhaps even doubt.. Subconsciously, the viewer may be prompted to reflect on their own life, recognizing the importance of embracing both strength and rest as vital elements of personal well-being and resilience.
