Photographer's Profile
, Brazil
Fernando Grilli is a visual artist who moves between different contemporary trends and creates his work in a European-American circuit. He was born in the interior of Argentina. The son of a photographer mother and father. He knows how to dialogue with photography, manual and/or digital painting, drawing and Algorithmic Art. He has been working on this visual narrative since 2020, incorporating into his work expressive poetics with metaphors of classical and experimental art. A contemporaneity that denotes a refined photographic eye applied to the history of art to achieve evolution and revolution in his work. His projects are strongly driven by a gaze committed to contemporary society. Anthropology, sociology, history and philosophy constantly inspire his work. They are true conceptual investigations into the evolutionary processes of our time. With an understanding of universal art acquired through his experiences in the many countries in which he has lived, he knows how to give his work a global or local perspective without losing its expressive force. In 2024 he won the Bronze Medal at the Black and White Photography Awards in Paris, and the Honourable Mention at the European Photography Awards in London.
