Mats Andersson studied photo at the Industrial Art School in Gothenburg (Sweden) in the late 1980s. This was followed by a job as Art Director and Photographer in the advertising industry. Since 1989 he has worked as an Art Director and Photographer at Concret Advertising in Sweden. Elected to the prestigious Nature Photographers /N 2011. Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 – winner Black & White. Wildlife Photographer of the Year in Scandinavia 2016 (NNPC). All over winner NNPC in 2016 (Nordic Nature Photo Contest). Wildlife Photographer of the Year in Sweden 2016. Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017 – silver (finalist Black & White). Published photos in a variety of newspapers, magazines and calendars over the years. Has published thirteen books. Scholarship: Sveriges Författarfond 2021-23. Konstnärsnämnden 2021.
