James Malikey is a 25-year-old pianist, composer, artist and nature photographer based in Belgium. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the poetry of daily life, he transforms fleeting moments into music that resonates with emotion and depth. Beyond the concert stage, James travels the globe to bring his piano into breathtaking landscapes, where music and nature converge in harmony. Additionally, with his Nikon camera, he captures moments that often serve as artwork for his music, but also as standalone reflections of the beauty and vastness of our universe. “Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.” With his photography, he wants to capture the beauty of the universe, but at the same time, he also wants to express an emotion with it, telling a deeper story with his pictures. That’s exactly what he also does with his music. His work is defined by a unique ability to uncover magic in what the eye often overlooks, offering fresh perspectives on the familiar.
