Photographer's Profile
Taiwan
For over a decade, my lens has been deeply rooted in the historic town of Beigang, Taiwan. My work serves as a long-term visual chronicle of the region’s vibrant temple culture, rituals, and the profound devotion of its people. Rather than viewing these traditions from the outside, I strive to capture the raw energy and quiet intimacy embedded within these ancient practices. Whether it is the thundering intensity of the Mazu Pilgrimage or the meticulous artistry found within the Beigang Zhenxuantang procession, my photography aims to bridge the gap between contemporary life and ancestral heritage. Through these series, I hope to preserve the fleeting moments of folk art and the enduring spirit of faith. By documenting these rituals with patience and respect, I seek to share the soul of Taiwanese culture with a global audience, inviting viewers to witness the sacred connections that unite a community across generations.
