Night of Fire

Night of Fire explores the relationship between time, space, and memory through mobile photography. During 2021 July 4th journey to Pismo Beach, I captured a sequence of fireworks with a mobile phone and stitched the individual frames into a panoramic composition. Instead of freezing a single explosion, the image brings successive moments together across one continuous coastline. Bursts of light, drifting smoke, reflections on the ocean, the pier, and the gathered crowd become layers in a visual record of celebration. The panoramic construction transforms passing time into visual space: moments that occurred sequentially are allowed to coexist within a single field of view. The result is not simply a record of one instant, but an attempt to preserve the broader experience of being there—the changing sky, the illuminated water, and the collective energy of a public celebration. 《Night of Fire》通过移动摄影探索时间、空间与记忆之间的关系。在2021 年7月4日的旅行中，我用手机连续记录烟花绽放的不同瞬间，并将这些画面拼接成一幅横向全景作品。 作品没有定格某一朵烟花，而是让原本依次发生的多个瞬间共同存在于同一条海岸线上。烟花的光芒、弥漫的烟雾、海面的倒影、延伸的码头，以及岸边聚集的人群，共同构成了一场庆典的视觉记忆。 全景拼接将流逝的时间转化为可见的空间。那些先后发生的瞬间，在同一个画面中重新相遇。作品所记录的因此不只是某一个瞬间，而是一次旅行中完整的现场感受——变化的夜空、被照亮的海面，以及人群共同分享庆典时所产生的能量。
